Expository paragraph

Theme : Why teens smoke ciggarets.

Expository paragraph is the paragraph that we can use to explains or analyzes a topic. Like other paragraph , expository paragraph has some generic structure 
     Topic sentence 
      Supporting sentence 
    Concluding sentence.

And today Iam going to write expository paragraph with the theme “ WHY TEENS SMOKE CIGGARETS”, why I choose this topic? Cause I think this a common problem in this world. And this topic make me interesting to did some interview with the teenager around my home.  To got the fact and real reason from them.

CIGARETTES BE HIS FRIEND

   Why teens smoke cigarettes? This statement is really common for our ear , although they know the dangerous and the bad effect of cigarettes but they still do that. There are many statement tahat said about the reason why the teenagers be a smoker.

    According to Kurt Lewin that smoking behavior is a function of the environment and individu.Artinya smoking behavior due to factors other than themselves, are also caused by factors lingkungan.Ada various factors that are assumed to be the factors causing smoking behavior in adolescents .
    Based on the research and theories about the causes of smoking behavior in adolescents , it turns out the cause is complex in terms of both internal and external that the two are mutually supportive ( Jacken , 2002) . Therefore , this study aims to look at the picture of the teen from the beginning they knew cigarettes , factors which support smoking behavior , until they decided to smoke for the first time. Based the  problem to be answered in this study , the approach used is a qualitative approach . A qualitative approach is the approach that seeks to understand the phenomenon of human behavior by the offender's appreciation , or through the viewpoint of the study subjects ( Dooley , 1984) . Cases selected according to the purpose of the study . small number of cases can give good example of the phenomenon being studied ( Poerwandari , 1998) .
    Another cause for the rise of teenage smoking is because they want to try it because they see cigarette people who smoke look delicious and they are curious .  

  

   Based on the statement i was courious about the truth so i did some interview with my neighbour. He became a smoker since he in the second grade of junior high school.

     Cigarettes be a best friend for him, there are so many reason that make him smoke cigarettes. First , he  fell prestige with their friends. When he  do hangout with his friend and gather with them ,so his friend will insult the boy who doesn’t want to smoke, so that he start to smoke. Second he doesn’t want  if his friend call him “CUPU “, because that include of  his social status. Third many friends said that  smoke make them look so cool. In their habit smoke is on of their habitual action that they think can make them look so cool than the teenagers who doesn’t do that. Fourth he fell comfort when he smoke, as we know that in the cigarette there are addictive liquid so that can make the smokers fell comfortable and happy when they do this. Fifth he got much money from their parents so he can buy what he want , to makes they be a cool boy. Finally smoke be his habit and become his basic needs.

    Actually the first time he smoke is just follow and try what his friends did and because every day he saw his father. Then the problems experienced by individuals such as family problems, school problems, and other problems make the individual more and more encouraged to start smoking.  do that so thats the enviroment be the most influential effect.

   So that the reasons why teens smoke cigarettes.
