              NARRATIVE TEXT

Narrative text is a text that tell about story that happend in the past , usually about legend ,fabel,period dramas,and adventure story. Narrative text have a purpose ,the purpose is to entertain the readers.

 Narrative text have 3 generic structure . the generic structure are :

1.      Orientation: orientation include of introducing the participants and informing the time,place. And also introduce the charactes of the participants.

2.      Complication : complication is about the conflic in the story.

3.      Resolution : showing the way of participant to solve the crises, better or worse.

    So ,if we want to make a story telling we can choose narrative text .

The language forms of narrative:

-          using processes verbs : tell, says,narrates.

-          Using temporal conjunction : chronological order.

-          Using simple past tense: past countinous.

The example of narrative text

THE LEGEND OF BANYUWANGI

Once upon a time, there was a local ruler named King Sulahkromo. The king had a Prime Minister named Raden Sidopekso. The Prime Minister had a wife named Sri Tanjung. She was so beautiful that the king wanted her to be his wife. (ORIENTATION )

One day, the King sent his Prime Minister to a long mission. While the Prime Minister was away, the King tried to get Sri Tanjung. However he failed. He was very angry. Thus, when Sidopekso went back, the King told him that his wife was unfaithful to him. The Prime Minister was very angry with his wife. Sri Tanjung said that it was not true. However, Sidopekso said that he would kill her. He brought her to the river bank. Before he kill her and threw her into the river, she said that her innocence would be proven After Sidopekso killed her, he threw her dead body into the dirty river. (COMPLICATION)

The river immediately became clean and began to spread a wonderful fragrance. Sidopekso said, "Banyu...Wangi... Banyuwangi". This means "fragrant water". Banyuwangi was born from the proof of noble and sacred love.(RESOLUTION)

                                                                                                  

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

Desciptive text is a text that we use to desribe a thing, person include of the size,shape.

Social Function : to describe a particular person, places, or things

Generic Stucture:

a. Identification: identifies the phenomenon to be described

b. Description: describes parts, qualities, characteristics

Significant lexicogrammatical features:

Focus on specific participants, use simple present tense

GRAMATICAL FEATURES

-          Use  present tense

-           Passive sentence

-          Noun  

-          Detailed Noun Phrase: describing,numbering, classifying, misalnya two strong legs

Example of descriptive text .

My Timmy

I have some pets. However, my favorite pet is Timmy. Timmy is a male cat. he is very

            adorable with his soft stripes fur. ( IDENTIFICATION)

            He has innocent round eyes and a sweet voice. He 

            always meaows when he feels hungry. Actually, his voice is not suitable for his giant

            body. When I come home, he usually gives me a kiss. Timmy is a nice playmate. I’m

            happy to spend my time with him. Most of the time, he is a good boy. It is almost

            impossible for me to be angry with him. In the morning, he always wakes up early.

           When he wakes up earlier, he waits quietly by my bed until I wake up.

So, we can use descriptive text to desribe about our lovely pet, thing, person also .

EXPOSITORY

Definition of expository text ,a paragraph that explain or analyzes a topic is an expository paragraph it includes of: information , explanation ,fact ,and ilustration

Generic structure of expository text :

-          Topic sentences

-          Supporting sentences :example ,detail, charts

-          Concluding sentences.

Language forms of expository :

-          Using process verb : begin, start,continue,become,remain,develop

-          Using indefinite transition

-          Using question work mark such as how

-          Using charts,graphics,and other visual aids.

How to be a smart student

To be a smart student is not easy you need some steps. (TOPIC SENTENCE)

First you must study hard,, if you want to be a smart student so you must study hard .second you must read so many kinds of book ,third you must dilligent to go to the school, fourth you must do a lot of exercise to incrase your  knowladge , fifth you must have good sosialisation with other friend, so if you want to be a smart student you must do all of the steps .those are how to be a smart student (SUPPORTING SENTENCE)
